Knock Knock!

Dear God, here I am. Asking to be used as a vessel for Your message. As I write these words, please take over my mind, my heart, and my soul that they convey Your word like no one has ever before. May this be a reminder for someone that You are trying to come into their life. God show Yourself not only to them, but continue to show Yourself to me. Thank You in advance for the plans that You have for my life. May You look down and be pleased with my life. For your glory, Amen.

Summer of 2019, I became worn down with the trials of life. I was tired of doing things on my own. I was exhausted from trying to be something that I was not. I was lost and in need of a life-saving change. I prayed a very different prayer to God. One that was as vulnerable as I had ever been with Him, even though he already knew my struggles. In hindsight it is a joke to even think that I was truly hiding something from God, but that was my thoughts at the time.

As the summer continued, a switch occurred. It was evident that not only had He heard my prayer, but He came to the door of my heart and knocked. He came to me at my lowest moments of faith, and refused to let me be alone. So, when you ask why I am on fire for God? It is because He not only accepted me; with my wavering faith, parts of unbelief, and doubt in both Him and myself. I realized that He saw not who I was in that moment, but the person that I am now writing these words. God knew that eventually I would be in a position of being grateful for how far I’ve come, but also focused on where He wanted to me to go next. I was so thankful that I let Him in. I was also thankful of one thing that eased my doubt.

His Grace Accepted Me.

Right now, I know there are a few people who may not want to admit it, but they need Him in their life. I know that you hear Him knocking and you are afraid. You feel that you may not be worthy of His love. You fear that you will let him down, like you have let so many people down in your life before. You are reading these words, and filling in your own problems and reason why He cannot love someone like you. There is no way that I deserve His Grace, His Mercy, and any of the things He offers. Look at those I have hurt and all the bad that I have done.

STOP!

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) How many people do you know love you enough to sacrifice their children? I will wait, because I can only think of one. This verse is why you should not talk yourself out of the love God is trying to give you. He wants to sit with you at the table at your lowest moments. He does not expect you to change overnight. He knows our short comings. (Romans 3:23) He knows exactly who you are, but He knows that first you have to let Him in.

KNOCK KNOCK!

Are you going to let him in? He is knocking on the door of your heart. Waiting on you to open the door and receive the favor that he has on your life. God is not accidentally choosing your door. Him choosing you is intentional; God sees something in you that you have yet to see in yourself. Now you’re asking, “How? Why?” It is simply, because He knows what is in your heart. See you are afraid that God will judge you like people judge you. You are afraid that God will shame like people do every chance that they get, BUT that is not the God we serve. (1 Samuel 16:7)

This moment gives me the opportunity to do something that is the sole purpose of why I started this blog. In Romans 10:9-10, the Bible says If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. I want to give you an opportunity rather it is your first or 100th time.

Read this aloud:

Dear Father,

I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.

Lord Jesus,

I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.

Father, Jesus – I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.

Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.

What Does Impossible Mean To God?

Dear Lord, may you get the glory for this. There are people who are dealing with life right now and feel like their bad days will never end. They are needing a reassurance of faith. Allow these words to be the reminder of the Power of the God we serve. What Does Impossible Mean To God?

When we are at our lowest moments. You know the moments where the only thing that seems possible is staying in that rut. This is where I think the fellowship with God is so important. As you read your bible, as you listen to gospel music and sermons, as you stop looking at certain things, you begin to realize something. You can ONLY pull out those things that you have put in your spirit. My grandma always told me this; you cannot expect to pull out a verse that you never read, just like you cannot expect to pass a test you never studied for.

Why is it important to put in?

Well, in life when you put in on something, it normally means you are going to get something back. Your spirit is the same way and getting out of that rut takes the same dynamic. How would you know that nothing is impossible to God, if you never read his miracles in the Bible? Putting in is important because it equips your faith for moments that help you battle your lows. You will never feel alone if you read about the sufficiency of His Grace (2 Corinthians 12:9). You will never question, is having just a little faith enough for God to hear you, if you read that you only need a mustard seed sized faith. (Matthew 17:20). You will know without a doubt, that he will never leave you in your lowest moment, if you read that he will never leave you not forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Lastly, you will know that God did not send His Son to condemn those who believe in Him, but to save them (John 3:17). There are many more blessings, miracles, and relatable stories that you are missing out on by not putting in on your fellowship with Christ.

The context of this moment we are focused on today, A man comes up to Christ, as he is teaching his disciples. He walks up wanting to know what good works must he do to receive eternal life. Christ let him know there is only one who is good, then told him to keep the commandments, if he wanted eternal life. Then He told him in verse 21, “if you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven. Then come, follow me.” The man was sad because he had great wealth. (Matthew 19:16-22)

Let that sink in, he was content doing things he thought was good, but when he was told what would make him perfect he was sad.

Let’s Put The Bookmark Right There.

Right now, how many of us are trying to live right? How many of us are trying to do good? Trying to put works with our faith, but we have our vices that we just cannot let go of. We have those things that we love and idolize, and they get in the way of our love for God. These things are why it is impossible for man (humans), to be “good.” We all have vices that we cannot get rid of without God. If we tried 100 times, 99 times by ourselves, and 1 time with God. We would only truly be successful once, because we lack the strength that God’s grace gives us.

Why did he get sad when he was told that he had to give his possessions away and give to the poor? Maybe it was because we don’t mind giving the parts of us that don’t require much sacrifice. Yet, we want to make it to Heaven, where our God sacrificed His Son for us. I’ve noticed that about myself during reflection. I will give you my first fry or piece of gum, but that last one is a different discussion. I will give something as long as it is not leaving me without. I know I am not the only one. This is why we need to do things with him. Without him, we lack the love, the empathy, the courage, and grace to do the things that we KNOW we should do.

This is what makes our God so great, because he gave. He did not think about it, he did not question what he will gain or lose, he just gave. This is why we cannot do it on our own, but with him we can. I know that with him nothing is impossible, nothing is too hard, and nothing is too large. So, to answer the question, “What Does Impossible Mean To God?” it is simple. Impossible means nothing because he is the God of making the impossible, possible.

Go To Sermons: Part III: Grace For Them? (The Power of Grace and Truth) [Grace Like A Flood Part 7]

Before I begin, I pray that each of these words, are used to build His Kingdom. If you are moved by this know that it was not me, but the God within me. I pray that people realize that the condemnation of others, cannot stop the Grace of God. This is one for those people who think their actions are excluding them from God’s Grace, Lord please help them see otherwise. Amen.

What is God’s Grace?

Grace is a gift from our Heavenly Father, given through His son, Christ. It is the enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Christ.

Those who believe, are saved by Grace. We cannot be better people, in hopes of receiving more Grace. It is unmerited, meaning that NOTHING we do is able to give us Grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9) God’s Grace is sufficient, it is everlasting. It is His Grace that covers our sins, that gives us the opportunity to get it right after sinning. If it was not for His Grace, I would be on a one-way train to hell. Honestly, if God was like us, then we would only have about two opportunities to get it right. If we do not figure it out within those two chances, then we would be given up on… BUT THAT IS NOT OUR GOD.

In this sermon, Pastor Mike, comes from John 8. In this chapter of John, there is a woman, brought in by the teachers of the law and the Pharisees. She had been caught in the act of adultery. The Law of Moses says that, because of her actions she should be stoned. The people that brought her, thought that Jesus, would be on their side and be eager to make an example out of her in order to keep the law.

BUT HIS GRACE!

As they are questioning Christ, he bends down and begins to write on the ground with his finger. He then said to them,Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.In this moment, we see the Grace of God. Jesus knew that he was the only one in the room that never sinned. He knew that, if the people in that room were honest with themselves, then there would not be a stone thrown. Just think about the scene. Jesus is trying to teach, only to be interrupted by a group of people accusing a woman of committing adultery. Apparently, they only found her in the act, because there was no other party being accused. Jesus uses the woman, that was supposed to be shamed upon, as proof that even she deserved His Grace. That even she, at what is probably her lowest moment, is covered by His Grace.

This is another example of our intentional God! Christ does everything with a purpose, on purpose. As we understand this maybe we will be less fearful of people who want to throw stones.

The truth is in our lives, we have many people who love us and want the best for our lives. At the same time, we also have people who do not loves us and are waiting on our demise. We have people who are ready to throw stones, for every mistake that we make. The beautiful thing about all of this, is that we serve a God, who is not afraid to protect us from those stones. We serve a God that will not put on us, more than we can bear. What does that mean?

Even if a stone does hit you, God knew that you could handle it!

Now put that into your everyday life. You got fired from your job, he already knew that you could handle it. You got broken up with by your significant other, he knew you could handle it. You got some bad news that you were trying to avoid, HE KNEW YOU COULD HANDLE IT. GOD KNEW THAT YOU COULD AND THAT YOU CAN HANDLE IT! Now you’re probably asking, but what if it I cannot handle it? What if it’s a boulder?

ALLOW HIS GRACE TO BE YOUR STRENGTH!

Again, our God is very intentional. So, that stone that you think is too large… is really just testing the confidence that you have in Him, to help you aid the pain. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Allow His Grace to be what you lean on no matter the situation. Even at your lowest point trust in God, that His Grace will cover you. Yes, there is even Grace for you, the (insert your problem).
